"Terramara manages to find the tricky balance in between accessibility and complexity. Their second album blends the cleverness of Steely Dan and Joe Jackson with a subconscious accuracy for writing perfect popsongs like Andrew Gold. A fine example is the prelude “Running Down The Avenue” that speaks to the mind and evokes a strong gut feeling simultaneously. The same goes for “Rise & Fall”, “Rajastan” or “Freedom”. The quartet formed around Rob Meany not only offers playful passages, they also show there’s room for moments of contemplation. Another reference that comes to mind is Neal Morse from Spock’s Beard, who seems to surface when you take a quick listen to “Four Blocks to Hennepin”. Terramara has a similar subtile sense for intelligent popmusic, if this description is allowed here, like Morse."
