He has been active in the local music scene since 1993 when he was a keybaordist for a short-lived cover band called the Cheshire Cats. A few years later, in 1996, he had a stint playing with some friends from college in a band called the Skydogs. In 1997, he formed an original band called Jon Ken Po with a couple guys from the Skydogs and spent about a year and half playing local clubs and recording a couple of demos.

In 1998, he split from Jon Ken Po to form his present group, Terramara. With a background in jazz and rock, Rob's songwriting is often compared to such artists as Steely Dan, early Sting, and Joe Jackson.

Rob also performs solo jazz piano and teaches piano and keyboards privately.
